Changed spark plugs and found oil why?

I have a 1998 plymoth neon expresso and i was changing my spark plugs and found oil on 1 3 4 cylinder plugs was hoping someone could help narrow it down as in why this is happening
Changed spark plugs and found oil why?
I'm thinking the valve cover gasket and gromets need replacing.
Changed spark plugs and found oil why?
Is the oil on the outside of the plug (as in, the part that doesn't go into the engine), or the tip end of the plug (that sticks into the engine? I assume you're talking about the tip end of the plug.

Apparently, you have oil getting into the cylinder. I'm thinking it would be from a worn valve guide or the seal(s) which keep oil from going down the valve guide into the cylinder.
oil above the plug can also cause misfires hesitation and other problems.

So replace the gaskets and clean the new plugs you just installed. This will allow the car to operate much better.
